I’m honored to return to the lead of the Claremont Colleges’ Justice Education Center, celebrating the growth of our Inside-Out Prison Education program since I taught our first class inside the local men’s prison in 2014 and since I left my leadership position in the Center in 2022. It’s wonderful to work alongside one of my formerly incarcerated students, Kenny Butler, to lead us into the next chapter in the work (teaching class in a women’s prison and a transitional housing/halfway house starting this Fall) and building the work in new and exciting ways with so many of our wonderful faculty, staff and community partners.
